   This fan is great! I love that it has 6 speeds vs. the usual 3-4. It’s great in my bedroom on the low speeds while sleeping-Keeps the air moving without blasting air on you. It is also VERY quiet (especially at low speeds). On higher speeds all you hear is the rush of air. The fan I replaced had a pronounced electrical buzz-Very annoying.The remote it comes with works great and fully controls all functions of the fan and light.As an added bonus this fan is compatible with smart home controllers. I use Alexa and this fan works very well with voice control. It uses Bond technology which costs $100 to add to a “dumb” fan. Alexa can turn the fan on, off, select speed and direction-Great in the middle of the night if you want the to adjust the fan. Alexa also can turn the light on, off and adjust brightness.I’ve had the fan installed for over a month and it works flawlessly. I’m not the most handy guy, but I installed it myself. Installation was fairly straight forward with no surprises. I also bought the wall switch which offers full control of all functions direct from the wall switch. It’s a nice to have, but honestly with the full function remote it isn’t really required-a simple on off switch will do if you don’t mind using the included remote. If you utilize the built in voice control via Alexa or a compatible smart home assistant, the wall control is even less necessary. I find myself using the voice control over 90% of the time because it works so well.There are cheaper fans for sure, but this one is worth the money and has all the features. Once you have 6 speeds you will wonder why every fan doesn’t offer this feature. I recently bought a second one of these for my home office. Definitely recommended!

   I like everything about the fan, the style, the wifi application, the light kit, everything with just one rather large exception which is the whole purpose of having a fan….the blades just don’t move air very well. The blades are a thin plastic that gives a wood like appearance but because they are made so thin the air volume radius of the blades is very small. It would be very good for a bedroom but does not perform very well for a living or family room application. The look of the fan is very sleek and contemporary, the remote is functionally nice, the wifi app is a big plus that works great and the light kit gives acceptable illumination for a medium size room. The install kit comes with a 6″ pole which is too short for most room applications but Home Depot sells a 12″ extension for a very inexpensive price. Installation was very easy and I experienced no problem with the fan’s blade balance. The fan runs whisper quiet and the remote is very easy to operate. If only it could create a little more air volume without having it on the highest setting it would be the perfect fan. So you know, as a point of reference, my neighbor has a three blade fan from a different manufacturer with real wood blades that are a little thicker and the fan is wonderful, it makes the room so comfortable. Its the reason I considered getting a three blade fan for our family room. Unfortunately this fan rates high on looks and low on air volume performance.

   I originally bought the Sleek model for the Wi-Fi remote capability but returned it because the blades were plastic, not “wood” as is listed in all the product comparisons.The true wooden blades are on the SkyHawk model and look beautiful. It comes with both wall control and remote and they’re both high quality and keepers.

   Installation was relatively easy, the instructions and the labeling on the wires and the connections were easy to follow and the whole installation took under 2 hours, including the time to disassamble and remove the old ceiling fan. The new fan looks great, the light is fairly bright and has a reasonable light temperature – not too cold, but not too soft either. The remote is already programmed and you won’t need to reprogram it unless you have another Minka ceiling fan in your home that you want to control separately. Compared to my previous ceiling fan, this one needs to spin faster to deliver the same airflow, since it has 3 blades, compared to 5, and the blade angle is smaller. This is not an issue as this fan spins very fast when you use the highest setting (6), but it is a bit noisier, though it doesn’t bother me much. All in all, this is a great looking fan and the materials and build are high quality. The blades are made of what seems like plastic, but it immitates wood pretty good, and reduces the weight and is more efficient, plus the blades will be much less prone to warping over time. The housing around the light is metal and the base is sturdy and leaves enough room to hide the wiring.

   Love the fan. Reasonable install. Very quiet, nice build quality and a fair value – HOWEVER the light is only controlled by the remote – the sucks. I bought the WC 600 wall control and that too sucks as their all many small buttons. Everyone wants to just flip a regular wall switch for the fan and another for the light and use the remote to adjust as needed. No can do so be prepared. I wish they offered a different option for separate light wired switch. If they do or I find another I have 4 more fans to buy…

   Ordered this on a Friday with an expected delivery on Monday. It arrived on Sunday! Installation was straight forward and well documented in the instructions. Very impressed with how quiet this fan is. Even at the highest speed all you can hear is the sound of the air movement. The light is great. Installed with a 5ft. down rod and there’s absolutely no wobble or movement of the fan at any speed. Weights are included to rebalance, but I found no need to use them. Very satisfied with the product and this seller. I highly recommend if your looking for a sleek appearing and very quiet fan in your living space.
