This fan was extremely well-packaged in multiple boxes and arrived in perfect condition. The fit and finish appears to be outstanding. I have not installed it yet but it looks like it will be pretty easy on our existing wooden ceiling, though I am not sure yet if it can accomodate the degree of the slant in our ceiling.Positive comments:- Offering three different downrod lengths in the box is great – not sure what to do though if you needed a longer rod as these don’t appear to be standard off the shelf rods- The natural wood blades are nicely machined and sanded. We might like to stain them and I will check with manufacturer to see whether they have a finish already – they appear to be unfinished. Blades are surprising lightweight- The instructions were the big surprise – very well written and almost zero translation issues. Kudos to the manufacturer for a very professional instruction set- The remote looks nice and intuitive- All parts appear to be high quality and nicely finished. The design does have visible screws where the blades attach to the motor as shown in the photos. Not sure how this will look on installation. There is no light to cover this but it may give a nice sort of industrial look.Questions and concerns- I have not installed this yet, but have a few concerns:- The instruction show installation for two applications – concrete ceiling and wooden ceiling. Nothing for a typical American drywall ceiling or reference for attaching the electrical junction box.- Center to center on the mounting holes is about 4 3/8″ and on the slots up to about 4 1/2″ so be mindful as to whether this will work with your ceiling box and whether the provided screws will be long enough to account for the drywall thickness.- Usually you need to have a wooden cross-brace between the beams to hold the weight of the fan so be sure the four screws will be able to go directly into this wood cross brace with enough depth to hold it. I am thinking longer wood screws might be needed.- If you have no attic and no fan there previously, attachment may be a concern as screws provided are for wood or concrete. Be sure there’s a way to attach to a fan box with cross-bar that you install from beneath the ceiling if you have no attic.- There is a light button on the remote but the fan is not supplied with a light. If one is available, that would be a nice option- I want to install mine on a slanted wooden ceiling but it is not clear from the instructions whether this is possible or the degree of slant that this unit will accomodate.- The screws and wire nuts were all loose in the bottom of the box vs. being in a separate bag.

I really like this fan and its appearance. I’m excited to get it put in place.

I was surprised that this fan was as light as it is. The wood is very lightweight. It is also solid wood, which is very nice quality. My husband made the comment that the fan blades could easily be stained if I ever wanted to change the color, I think that is actually a really great option.I am excited about the remote control. It has the different modes to pull the air up or to push it down, depending on what I want it to do. The timer is helpful to me, as I typically forget to turn things off. This fan is quiet. It is nice to have something quiet, yet still have it work so well.Overall, this is a great fan, aesthetically pleasing and well made.

Our guest room had a rather cheap fan with an AC motor that I installed after our home was built. It worked OK, but there were two things that I didn’t like about it: one was that it didn’t have a remote control (although I did install a remote speed and light controller that went into a wall’s switch box); and the second was that it had a noticeable hum while in operation which was annoying. This fan from Xbibi solves both those issues, plus brings other improvements along in the bargain as well: > It is larger (60″ diameter vs the old 52″) and moves a LOT more air. > Has a DC motor which is completely quiet when running, is much more energy-efficient, and has SIX speeds instead of the old one’s three. > I love the way it looks in the room: with the sleek modern appearance, industrial-style design touches, and the fan blades which look like an airplane’s propeller. It just plain looks very cool!Another thing I appreciate is that this fan is really easy to install compared to just about every other fan I installed. Although when I opened the box it looked like there were a ton of parts to put together. But when I laid them all out on the bed I used as a work surface there weren’t that many after all. Possibly one of the best features of the assembly procedure is that the blades are attached to the motor BEFORE the motor is mounted to the ceiling, which is a HUGE improvement over having to work over your head while standing on a ladder, struggling to hold the blade in one hand while holding the motor housing and at the same time trying to insert screws through holes you can’t see and that barely match up anyway. Anyone who has done this can know how much better it would be to do this on a comfortable work surface instead. This fan does NOT have a light kit, which I am fine with as there are plenty of table lamps and a floor lamp in the room. It does, however, come with three different lengths of downrods. I chose the middle-sized one which is perfect for the high ceiling in the room. But the short one would be great for lower ceilings, or the longest would be wonderful for mounting the fan in a room with a REALLY high ceiling. I don’t know what kind of wood the blades are made out of, but it is extremely lightweight. It has a very attractive grain pattern like some kind of hardwood, but feels like balsa wood as far as the weight goes. Unfortunately, one of the blades on the fan I received had a bit of a defect – although most wood items are built up of more than one “strip” of wood glued together, the strips on this one blade weren’t matched up very well, so it is quite noticeable. Not the end of the world, and I don’t think it’s bad enough to deduct a star from my rating, it is just a bit unfortunate that quality checking didn’t catch it.The remote control works very well, and allows setting any of the six speeds, easily reverse the blade direction for seasonal adjustments, and turn the fan off entirely with a button press. There are actually a couple of buttons that I don’t know the function of. I guess I’ll have to consult the manual for those, or just experiment a bit. Even on low speed the large blades of this fan move a LOT of air, and on the highest speed it is almost small gale. Good thing there are six speeds total to allow dialing in just the right amount of breeze for just about any situation.I definitely recommend this fan very highly.
