Fan was easy to install, even for me with no electrical experience. I am a pretty handy guy, but never done anything like this and usually leave electric and plumbing to professionals. However, after getting a quote for $200 to install the fan, I decided to try it myself. I’m so glad I did! Worst part was getting the fan blade brackets screwed in after the assembly was already hanging up. With a little patience and a few tries though I got it done with not too much effort. Would definitely recommend this fan!

Hunter makes a great and affordable Ceiling Fan!I purchased this one (52 inch) to replace a 16 year old Hunter ceiling fan (42 inch).Getting the bigger model was perfect for my room, much better air flow. It’s in a Medium, to Medium Large bedroom.I need some air movement when I sleep. As said above, this model is a 52 inch ceiling mount fan, with 5 blades, it’s color is White, it has a reversible 3 speed motor, with pull chain and forward/reverse switch. It’s VERY quiet, even when running on high speed. It can provide a little air movement, to a lot of air movement. This model has no light fixture below it, but does have a removable plate to add one at a later date. This model is very easy to install, with very clear installation instructions, for the first timer. It doesn’t take long at all to get it done, and start using it.It’s very nice looking, and it fits snug against your ceiling.Mine, when done, was balanced just fine, but they also come with a balancing kit, and easy to understand instructions. It has 3 speeds (pull cord chain, Hi-Med-Lo-Off) and is reversible (2 position switch). For $90.00 dollars, you can’t beat the quality! This fan will work with, or without a wall switch, due to it’s own built in switch (pull chain)What you do have to have, is a ceiling box with power going to it.If you don’t have either of those, it’s also easy to put in a adjustable ceiling box, and run a new circuit (a 110 run), from your breaker box to the ceiling box.If your uncomfortable with electricity, I’d “VERY” highly recommend hiring an Electrician to do it for you! Here’s a quick update:The longer I have this fan, up and running, the more I love it!For a very simple fan, it’s very good looking, it’s very quiet, and moves a lot of air.Excellent Ceiling Fan!Comfort, Quality, Good Looks, and at a low price….very highly recommended!

I’m an electrician. I’ve installed a lot of ceiling fans. Some hum, even on low speed. For me, this would be unacceptable when installing the fan in a bedroom, which is why I chose a Hunter fan to install in my personal bedroom. It doesn’t make any noise when it’s running, except on high when you can hear the swish of the blades as the travel thru the air.All ceiling fans are a pain to install. They require assembly. This is the least painful painful brand to install. The directions are quite clear and easy to understand. There are written by people who’s first language is English, not translated from another Asian language into English.

I spent a few weeks trying to find a low profile, simple white fan that actually moved air around, for install in the master bedroom. A room where the ceilings are just not very high, and I needed something that would fade into the background. And it had to have a pull chain, since the one I was replacing did not have a connection to a switch. I wanted something around $100 to $150. Simple, right? The reviews on the half dozen or so available ceiling fans in this category were so contradictory. The reviews made it sound like anything I bought in this category would be awful. So I took a chance, bought this fan. What a surprise! It is terrific. Clean white color, quick and easy install, low profile. Very quiet and moves air around well. The way the base is installed, you don’t even see it moving. This fan is everything I wanted. The only negative is very minor — the little plastic thing on the end of the pull chain is cheap, ugly and emblazoned with the manufacturer’s name. But I removed it and installed one of my own, so no big deal.

We bought this ceiling fan for our bedroom. Research indicated we needed a low profile ceiling fan due to the ceiling height. We also did not want a fan which had a light which would have added to the “depth” of the unit . Despite some reviews which expressed concern re noise level, we took the chance and purchased this fan. It works GREAT and we hear absolutely no noise, whether the fan is running at low, medium or high speed. Installation was a bit difficult due to the double light wiring in our ceiling fixture, but through trial and error with the wires, we were able to install the fan. The cool air from the “low speed” is more than sufficient for the hot muggy summer nights. The fan does not come with a remote control, which we do not miss. Using the pull cord is convenient. We are extremely pleased with this purchase and are amazed that there is NO noise level.
