The fans are beautiful, they look good and airflow is adequate. I purchase 2 remotes which controls ea fan separately: lights & 3 speed. Fans can be on at the same time, individually, run at different speeds and same for lights. I purchased the fans without lights by mistake, but was able to call Honeywell who sent me the lighting fixture at a cost of $15 ea and $15 deliver totaling $45. I love them

For the money this is a great fan.

There is NO remote control as was mentioned a couple of times in the description! So if you want a remote control operated fan don’t buy this one!

I purchased two of these fans for our patio. Installed the first, and it worked perfectly. Looks great, whisper quiet, and plenty of air movement (Please make sure you have the switch set in down position to get downward air movement). Began installing the second. Turned it on to test it before installing the fan blades (to check my electrical connections; I did the same thing with the first fan), and it began spinning, it made a clunking sound that was clearly coming from inside the housing. It was the kind of sound that gives you a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach. Giving the fan the benefit of the doubt, however, I went ahead and finished the installation, thinking that maybe the clunking was from being off balance or because the fan blades weren’t attached yet (even though I did the exact same thing with the first fan and there was no clunking sound when I first tested that one). I tested again after installing the blades, and the sound was still there, exactly the same. Too loud to ignore, and too annoying to live with. So, contacted Honeywell for the first time on the following Monday. Was treated respectfully. Explained the problem, gave my contact information, and was told to expect a call within ‘1-2 business days.’ Fast-forward to today, 8 days later. No call or contact of any kind. So I call again. Went through the whole rigamarole of explaining everything again. This time I’m told that the customer service person cannot verify whether the information taken initially was received by anybody in a position to help me. Not only that, but she could not even begin to tell me when I might receive a call at all. She did seem adamant that I would eventually receive a call, but nothing more. My choice at that point was to either a) wait for an indeterminate period of time for a phone call that may or may not help me resolve the problem, or b) give her all my contact information again, start a new ticket, and, in her words, “be put on the back burner.”I leave it to those who read this to decide whether this kind of response fits their definition of quality customer service, but it doesn’t fit mine. I have a brand new fan and cannot use, and will not be able to use for an unknown period of time. Just long enough for the warranty to expire perhaps? Long enough that I can’t disassemble the whole thing, pack it up and send it back to Amazon? Sorry, not willing to wait that long. Was my defective fan 1 out 10? 1 out of a 100? 1000? Don’t know. But if you buy this fan, hope you’re not the one in whatever number it is, like I was.

1st the color down rod was hard to match there are 3-4 colors of bronze on the market. 2nd the down rod to use with this fan can not have threads at one end of the rod. It has to be a “Transition” rod that is smooth on either end.
