   I did not install this fan myself – a friend who’s an electrician did it for me. He said it was very easy, but, being an electrician, I wouldn’t imagine he’d have any trouble. I don’t know how easy it would be for a lay person.Once installed, this fan/light works decently. There are three different levels of brightness, the brightest of which is just about bright enough to land an airplane, I think. I find the lowest level quite sufficient.The fan has three power levels, plus reverse and can be programmed for timing. I’ve never found reversing a fan to create any warmth and this fan is the same, but the forward levels are good. The only thing is that the fan is enclosed within the ring of the light, which blocks the wind from going outward. You can almost literally step in and out of the wind zone. If you are directly below the fan, the wind is very cooling, but outside that zone it’s hard to feel the wind at all. I would recommend installing this fan directly above your bed, couch or wherever in the room you plan to spend the most time.The fan/light is controlled by a remote which can be mounted on the wall. We had a hard time tightening the screw enough to be level enough to allow the remote to slide easily in and out of its holder – that may be a function of where we put the holder, but it is quite annoying.I don’t recommend this fan for cooling a large room with multiple areas, but it is great for, say, directly above a bed. Decent fan for the price.

   I love this ceiling fan light combo. Not only is this low profile great for those homes that have lower ceilings but also great for the lightweight. I love that they don’t have fan blades in the open. As you know normal ceiling fan collect a lot of dust as they’re running and you only notice it when you turn them off. But these are in a cage, Yes, there’s dust but it’s not as bad. You would think given the color it would show more but it doesn’t. I love that it’s all in one and of course remote controlled. I wouldn’t be tempted to install one on my own as I do not want to mess with any kind of electricity especially wiring something up. Low noise Factor and it brightens up the room.

   This is a great, compact ceiling fan. It was very easy to install, control works as it should, and having dimmer and speed settings are very helpful. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars are1) It’s not noisy, but at the lowest speed it is audible, where a traditional ceiling fan wouldn’t be.2) the control is quite complex. Buttons for dimming, speed, color tone, etc. more complex than I think I’ll need.3) it would have been great if the added a motion sensor. The ‘night light’ capability would be great to trigger the motion.I would recommend this for a small room, somewhere with low ceilings or risk of catching the blades, or somewhere that has not got great support for a heavy traditional ceiling fan.

   This is a beautiful fan, but the light stopped working after 2 days. The seller reached out and helped resolve the issue quickly. Great fan and great seller.

   Literally 12 screws and two wires. Took less than 15 minutes. Actually took more time to take the existing light down than install this new one. Works perfectly. Very impressed for the low cost.

   This is easy to install! I have low ceilings in my home and this fan is perfect! It doesn’t hang low at all! The light is very bright and the remote control is excellent for the bedroom.
