I felt compelled to leave a review in case anyone reading is a fellow DIY homeowner.My wife and I just bought our first house and I’ve been making upgrades here and there. First on the list was to get more modern ceiling fans for the bedrooms.I found this one here, and thought it looked nice enough and simple enough to put together. I was only right about one of those.First, I’ll say that after it’s all said and done, the product works great. It does exactly what it said it was going to do and I think it looks great. Getting there, however, was an exercise in patience.The instructions are not clear on which hardware to use, so you have to do a bit of trial and error guessing. Especially if you’re planning on installing the receiver for the remote control. If you’re not paying attention, the instruction manual would have you blow right past that. The pictures are tiny and don’t show you the steps within the steps – just a “big picture” of where you’re supposed to end up. The build quality of the unit is solid but the blades feel kind of on the cheaper side. Not a big deal, but just something to note.The wiring of the fan is fine. Nothing too outrageous, but every bit of it needs to be done. Some fans come with the internal wires already wired (or a simple plug in) with the only wiring needing done being the actual electrical wiring to your ceiling.Overall, the process took me about 90 minutes. I’m actually going to be buying this fan again to have a matching one in another bedroom. So, while I recommend it over all, I wish they had made it a lot easier to get there. Hoping the next one can be a bit easier since I’ve done it already.

This fan is absolutely perfect. Quiet, and the fan is strong. Only problem is my house was built in 1940 so the bracket diameter needs to be 3 inches. These new fans are for 4 inches or more. Good thing Home Depot sold a 3 inch bracket.

I think I would have been better off with no instructions at all. What I did, I had to figure out myself. It took several tries. Especially the remote control receiver… there was no instructions for how to install it, from one instruction to the next, it just appeared and the receiver in my package was too big to possibly install the way it looked in the illustration. So I tucked the wires in more and crammed it into the hanger thing and crossed my fingers that I didn’t short any wires.The instructions for the light fixture are exactly wrong. You do need to remove 3 screws, just NOT the 3 screws they show that hold the actual light fixture to the body of the fan. You have to remove the body of the fan from the rest of the fan in order to attach the fan blades (which I discovered AFTER fully assembling everything else).It is a ceiling fan, so it’s not rocket science to install and despite the instructions best efforts to derail me, I managed to get it installed, so I gave 2 stars for “Easy to Install”. It would be 3 stars if the instructions weren’t contradictory to actual installation. I’ve relocated ceiling fans in the past and generally don’t need instructions. So I can say from experience, this would have been slightly easier without any instructions at all.

I like the look and functionality, for the most part a good purchase, however, I have NEVER had a fan that you could not change direction for winter and summer?? I didn’t even think to look for that. Good thing it is in a spare bedroom. But not good for all seasons.

Fan is very nice and well built. My only set back is the color. It’s listed as white but it actually has a hue of pink. I contacted the seller and they did offer me a discount and seemed like it was something a lot of people complain about. The beeping when you turn it on and off is annoying but can live with it.

The only thing I wish it had, and I knew before I bought it was a Fan reverse switch. That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I love everything else. Very easy to install, just watched a you tube video. Some people think the beep it makes when you select a function is to loud. It just confirms your selection, and no, it is not loud at all. Other people say you have to select the light setting each time you turn it on. That’s false. If you turn off the light and wait at least 7 seconds, then when you turn light back on you will get the same setting as when you turned it off. For the money, this is a good fan. If I can install it, then anybody can.

This fan is definitely great for the price… I bought 4 of them. They were easy to install and the remote has all the options that I like to have. I have just 2 complaints about this fan:1. Every time you turn the light on, there is a high pitch beep sound. It’s just a single beep but I just don’t understand why it would be necessary. I find it annoying.2. The light turns 3 different colors and it stays the color you leave it on… However, if you leave a room, switch off the light, but have to turn it right back on because you forgot something, the color will change. It is probably the worst setting they came up with. I would prefer there just be a switch on the fan that picks the color… Because once you decide the color you like, there is not need for the color to keep changing just because you turn the light off and on too fast (especially with kids who like to play with this feature)… I ALMOST returned the fans because of this…. but, like I said, they are still very good for this price…. so I am giving them 4 stars and keeping them.
