What a pretty fan! And it takes up so little vertical height! The directions were pretty clear and installation went smoothly. There is no remote, but I wasn’t expecting one for this model. Fan does seem a little loud, but the white noise is easy to tune out. It does produce a decent amount of airflow for the size. One minor nag for us is that it doesn’t seem to sit flush against the ceiling. There’s probably 3/4″ all the way around. Not sure why it’s that way, but my guess is that the ceiling box wasn’t installed properly. Obviously that’s not Hunter’s fault, but I’ve contacted them to ask if there’s anything I can do to mitigate this.Unfortunately we only had 2 wires running from the ceiling box to the light switch, so it’s either on or off from the wall. No smart switches seem to be compatible with 2 wire setups. One workaround is to get a remote kit, but I really didn’t want something floating around that I could lose. Fortunately Hunter has a kit (99771) that uses a wall switch that reads the remote signal. I’m planning to install that later. So far we’re all happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

    Look and performs great!

The fan is beautiful and wasn’t difficult to install. It comes with a nice balance kit that I obsessed over. There are attachable weights that can be cut and attached to the fan blades. I measured the weight of every blade and attached cut bits of weight to bring them all within 5g of each other. Which I’m glad I did given the main issue I have. The high speed on this fan is absolute turbo mode and moves a ton of air. I love it! Unfortunately medium speed is waaaay lower and low speed is slightly less than that. If I were to put them on a speed scale I’d say High is 10, Medium is 4, and low is 2. Something like 9/6/3 seems like the obvious speed settings so this is odd. High is too much for sleeping and medium is too low (for me at least). If it was in my bedroom I’d end up returning it over this issue.

Looks nice! Noise level is “can’t hear it.” Only thing I wish different..the low speed could be a bit slower.

We are pleased with the look of the fan and with it’s operation. Installation was a bit frustrating. The screws needed for installing the first brace (bracket) into the ceiling were not included. We had to study the instructions carefully and redo what we installed several times before figuring out exactly what to do. We especially like having the operating chains coming down at a angle out of the housing and then coming down through the globe. With other Hunter fans in our house, it is important to pull the chains out horizontally to avoid damaging or breaking them because they come straight out horizontally. My wife is short, and this fan is easy for her to operate.

I have always had good luck with Hunter fans as a professional installer. I just needed an inexpensive dependable quiet vibration free fan for a customer’s replacement. This was the perfect fit. It has the wide footprint to cover any old paint variation from an old fan being replaced. It worked out beautifully and installed easily for someone that has installed 1000’s of fans.

I hired a retired electrician to install this unit in a manufactured home. He had to work harder than he thought. Balancing was easy (thank goodness) and it works well. I didn’t see a remote anywhere. I did the recycling process and went through everything and never saw it. However, it is a good product and I would purchase it again. SILENT!

This ceiling fan is very nice looking and it functions well, BUTThere is a design flaw causing the motor housing to not sit tight up against the ceiling. The mounting bracket was designed with 4 rubber isolation mounts that contact the ceiling to dampen vibration. The problem is these rubber grommets are too thick and thus they push the mounting bracket too far away from the ceiling to allow the cover to sit flush against the ceiling.I had to bend the outer part of the ceiling bracket upwards on each side to get the housing to sit flush against the ceiling. I could have removed the entire unit from the ceiling and started over using thinner rubber washers, but I already had it wired up.Check the fit of the motor housing before you install the motor to see if it sits flush against your ceiling. If not, then remove the 4 rubber grommets and go get yourself some thin rubber washers or pieces of rubber strip to use as dampers between the ceiling and mounting bracket. This should take care of closing the gap between the motor housing and the ceiling. The best part is that when I contacted Hunter they told me a 1/8″ gap was acceptable. I just hung up on him after that answer. In what photos of this fan do you see a gap between the ceiling and the motor housing. The answer to that question is none.
